When will the Sierra Club get the hint: I DON'T WANT YOUR MBNA CREDIT CARD
I've begged and pleaded with this group to please take me off their calling list. They have my cell phone number because at one time I was interested in helping with the Sierra Club and I gave them my cell phone number for volunteers at my local Sierra club to reach me.

IT HAS BEEN A FREAKING NIGHTMARE EVERY SINCE!!!

I have called both my local and main Sierra Club and I've asked them to please take me off their list. I've also expressed disgust that they are using probably the WORST credit card out there: THe CEO of MBNA is notorious for hosting $2000 plate fundraisers for Bush and has given massive contributions to politicians who aren't very friendly to our environment. The fact that they KEEP calling me even after countless requests to remove me from their list just makes me ill.

I am very concerned about the environment but the Sierra Club isn't the only enviro-friendly organization out there. There are plenty of other great groups out there that won't crawl into bed with Bush-Loving Credit Card companies (and btw, I work for a CC company, but my guy donates to DEMOCRATS!!!!)

Ok, enough ranting!!

1. Carry
an airhorn with you and blow it into your cell phone each time they call.

Everybody deserves an opportunity to make an honest living. But if they've been asked repeatedly not to call and their still doing so, I wouldn't waste any sympathy on them.

2. yeah, but they call while I'm at work...
my coworkers might not appreciate it.

And that pisses me off too - they're wasting my cell minutes!!!

3. Does the DE Attorney General have a Consumer Affairs Office?
If so, I'd let them in on this.

6. Jane Brady?
You're kidding me right? She was part of that Republican Attorney General Scandal where the repuke AGs were soliciting donations from the corporations they were sueing.

5. don't you get free first incoming minutes?
That is usually a standard feature with cell companies, having the first incoming minute for free so it doesn't eat them up.

And I agree completely: MBNA is the epitome of evil credit card companies. I have my own story about them, for another day.

4. You're going to have to put it in writing,
documenting when you told them not to call again, and also the dates when they have called since. Seems like there could be a judgement in your favor in the future if they don't clean their act up.

7. MBNA won't stop bugging me either
I think they are especially agressive...I get countless MBNA credit card offers via my college alumni association. I have tried several times to get them to stop, and they won't. The last straw came this summer when I received a MBNA credit card (account opened without my permission) in the mail. I begged, pleaded, and screamed at the customer service rep. MBNA still won'tleave me alone.

MBNA --- I WILL NEVER GET A CREDIT CARD FROM YOUR BANK. LEAVE ME ALONE!
