1. It's real
Great place: You can go for miles in tunnels and caves. Was there in 1972 when I was in the Air Farce.

2. You just reminded me of a classic...
Are hedgehogs real?

Was that it?

I love Michael Palin. :)

3. No this is a travel show
Palin apparently loves to travel. He is well know for it so the Travel channel just follows him along on his set travel plans. I saw one that was him going around the Mediterranian (10 weeks or so) and ending up at Gibrlater when the English handed over control to the Spaniards back in 2002 or so.

Anyway I saw that he had a show on so I taped it. Really interesting stuff. I really didn't know much about Bulgaria and now I do-not anything like I would have imagined.

Cappodocia is in Turkey and is where the early Christians fled to to avoid the Romans, I think. The houses are just amazing. One couple, a German man and a Turkish woman, just set up house in one after it had been empty for 14 years.

Really great show.

4. I know... I *love* his travel shows...
I think you might be thinking of his series about the Pacific Rim... can't remember the name of it, though.

It's just your subject line reminded me of an old thread, that's all... :)

5. Cappadocia is OK, but I prefer the real thing:
I mean..come on, Cappadocia doesn't have any decent rides, and the restrooms are filthy; there's no gift shop either.

6. Yes - it is the coolest!
Spent some time there in 2002. Loved it. Turkey is a great country.

7. It's real.
If I ever get to travel on that side of the world, that's one of the places I'd love to see.

8. This reminds me of Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi's work, which was inspired by nature

One of Gaudi's buildings "Casa Milà" is called "La Pedrera" Catalan for"the Quarry".
