There is no heat in my office today.
Evidently the heat is busted. It's around 48 F in here.
My little fingers are getting cold. I have the urge to dip them in my coffee to warm them up.
It's really hard to program with cold fingers. My typing stinks right now.

Its one of our programmers first days today too.

"Welcome to our company! I hope you brought mittens!"

I hate my office building.

:scared: :scared:

4. Our office has really screwn heating as well. It's either blasting cold or hot
there's no middle ground. Yes, it's hard to type with cold fingers, I know this all too well, but not 48 degrees bad.

I recommended the highest ranking manager goes out and buys everyone tall cups of coffee.

6. I would recommend gloves, but then your posts would look like this
qwkjcxio kjkj kjeioio o $mbrrw (

Although, that would probably pass as a thoughtful post over on GD-P.

7. That sucks.
I am glad that the heat is working here today.

It has not in the past, and when that happens it is cold...

Today it is -6 degrees outside right now, windchill is at -22.

I do love Minneapolis :P

9. It's finally up to 55 in here now.
Almost tropical!

You can keep the Minneapolis weather. I'll take our milder ocean-moderate winters thank you!
:D

14. warm thoughts must have worked!
Glad it's a bit warmer there. I don't know why I thought you lived North of me. For some reason I thought you lived in the Bangor Area. My mind must be frozen this morning from standing at the bus stop with my son.

12. Sounds like it's time to go home!
Seriously, I remember our heat went out one day, started getting really cold, and I'm working there with my coat on, and another guy comes by and says "Dude, what are you doing? Let's get the hell out of here". His logic was irrefutable, so we went to see a movie.

13. I had my ski cap on earlier this morning. But now it's heated up to 2 degrees outside, so I don't
need the cap any longer.

16. They should send you home. That's not safe. Of course, in my office the heat
is supposedly working but I have a blanket and scarf wrapped around me and gloves on my hands. So easy to do design work with gloves.

17. Dragged kicking and screaming...
into the future, mainegreen is one of those people we all love to hate; the "Early Adopter."
Lo the envy of those on the cutting edge when we too, now basking in the luxury of balmy 58 F night time (60 F daytime) degrees, ultimately are forced to acclimate to 48. Wasn't it President Nixon (R) who told us we'd be healthier if we followed his example and dropped our thermostats
(or was it our pants)? I could be mistaken, the fog of time and all, but whoever said it, we didn't do it and look at the wretched state of health of Americans all because we didn't
drop our thermostats to 48 degrees.
Here's to ya, mainegreen, ya lucky bastard! :toast:

18. My home office is in an addition over an uninsulated crawl space.
and it's at the end of the heat runs, so on cold windy days like today it's chilly. I think I'm going to go get a bankie for my legs!

I would stay warm all the time with hot foot soaks!
(Or just because!)
