What are your favorite non-physical qualities you appreciate in the gender of your choice?
Edited on Sun Feb-10-08 11:12 PM by Radical Activist
Sorry if someone has already posted this.

Sure, looks matter but what other some other things that turn you on? I don't mean things that are important in a relationship. I'm thinking of non-physical things that get you excited.

Predictably, I'm a sucker for women who are political activists. There's one woman I knew for a little while and finally asked out after seeing her lead chants with a bullhorn at a protest rally. I was drooling. :loveya:

Nothing is a bigger turn on than someone who does not need a significant other to feel complete.

6. Intelligence
Obviously of the left-leaning variety. An excellent sense of humor. Kind-hearted, but not a pushover. Caring, open, moderately attractive...

Hell, who am I kidding? At this point I'd settle for male and breathing.

Well no...I think I'd still require the intelligent liberal bit. I'm not *THAT* desperate. Yet.

7. Righteous anger.
Being pissed off at the world just to be pissed off isn't attractive, but being informed and angry about important things? I dig that. Smart, pissed off guys- hell motherfucking yes.

10. Intelligence. And a wicked sense of humor.
My current BF is a math genius. He's so fucking smart that it's scary. I always tell him I'd hump his brain if I could. :D He's also painfully funny. I say painfully because we were IMing when I was at work the other night, and he made me get tea up my nose about four times.

My GF is also smart as all get out and funny as hell. Our conversations can go from art and philosophy to science to trashy VH1 reality shows. I love her for it.

20. Interesting
Do you like good food a lot or does it have more to do with a man being willing to take on a traditionally female task?

BTW, I'm reading Shock Doctrine now. Its the kind of book that changes the way you look at the world. Great read!

I like girls who like sports and rock-n-roll. My GF has been to more Cub games than me, but she actually likes some bands formed after 1990. It's always gotta be a give and take.

29. Oh, that one's easy
It's all in mindset. For example, if I can say one of the following two things, and still have her dig me...she's gold:

1. "So then once on the whaling vessel, he opened the petcocks and that fucker went right to the bottom of the ocean."

2. "After jumping the fence, it only took me a couple seconds to cut her chain. Once she was free, it was only a matter of minutes before she was safe, and then on to our house."
