Poll question: Sharon Osbourne
Who is she anyway?

On her new talk show, she seems so nice and sweet and the type of person you'd genuinely want to get to know. Love her hair coloring too. Very surprising that she married Ozzy of all people, the foul-mouthed loser. Yes, loser. Just because he sold a few records doesn't mean he's a winner. Donald Trump is human garbage as well.

On her hubby's "reality" series entitled "The Osbournes", she's a real nasty hag. (I'm dyin' to say a different set of words here...) Is this show even 1/10th real? It's so outrageous, it's as degrading as Jerry Springer's filth-a-thon... (Ever see that 'reality' show? The only reason why they're not all disintegrating on the streets is because somebody once liked the music he made... his brain has gone to rot, presumably because of all the drugs he took. Yet this freak show becomes a national hit, and not a study into the life of a pathetic man and how it affected his children and wife. Very pitiful...)

So, which one is her real persona?

I promise not to make any more new posts for a while. Mustn't be a spammer! :-)

4. I love Sharon Osbourne
I think she's the sweetest, down to earth celeb I've ever seen. I want to meet her so much. She's also so real with her fans. Sorry you don't see that.

5. I love her too
She's unpretentious, sweet, and doesn't care what people think of her. I only hope I am half as cool as she is when I'm her age. It's my biggest fear to be square when I'm older.

7. Whatever complaints people have about them as a family
I don't think anyone can doubt that they all really love each other. I think that says a lot about Sharon's quality as a person.

6. I love her...
her main claim to fame is that she's Ozzie's manager - has been for years. Her father used to manage Ozzie, then she took over. Then she married him.

She's a brilliant woman.

8. Her show has been cancelled
and good riddence to bad rubbish. She made Maury Povitch seem watchable.

Thank god Ellen Degeneres has a talk show.

9. FOAFs of mine
I've known four (musicianly) people since the late 1980s who have worked with her. They all say similar things about her -- she's a down-to-earth, wonderful woman, but with an iron will, and you don't want to mess with her family or friends. I'm sure she has her bad points, too, but they weren't on display for these folks.

Ozzy's infamous state of burned-out-ness seen on the TV was probably a Parkinson-like syndrome called tardive dyskinesia brought on by bad medical treatment and anti-psychotic drugs he didn't need. (It seems his doctor thought he was an eeevil rocker, too.) Since his accident, he's stopped taking the drugs that were doing it, and he's lost the shaking he used to have.

The Osbournes, as people and as the show, may not be to everyone's liking, but they are not bad people. And this is usually the case with pro wrestlers, or "heavies" like Mr. T -- they have a fierce or decadent public persona, but are often quite the opposite in person.

Show business is its own little world. Enjoy it, revile it, but don't believe it. And show business people are just like you and me.

God help them.
