9. Perhaps a comprimise is in order.

Try suggesting hog-tieing the child. Surely this will keep the kid from creating further chaos and it is far less harsh than water-boarding. How can your wife not see the logic?


btw: I got out of cooking dinner for a loooooong time after I cooked "garlic-steak" one night. The recipe called for 2 cloves of garlic. At the time I did not understand the difference between clove and bulb. I confess that we never had any problems with vampires after that incident either.
