OMG, how SWEET!

I made beef-vegetable soup today and used a couple of roasts for the beef. Any way, I just now deboned them and gave each dog one bone. When I gave Brody (the puppy) his, he took it, walked about 5 feet way and dropped it, came back and gave me a kiss, then went back to his bone! :D

6. We have 2 mutts!

The adult male is a Chow/Golden mix and the little guy is a Shepherd/Rottweiler mix. :)

14. We "rescued" a Border Collie

from the pound. She was mangy, skinny and tremendously ugly (you couldn't even tell she was a Border Collie she looked so bad) but she was 48 hours away from being put to sleep and my kids looked at me with sad eyes and we took her home. She has put on weight, been groomed and looks like a million bucks! She knows she had been rescued and honest to God, she hugs us. She puts her 2 front legs around your waist or neck as best she can and snuggles.

It was the best thing (besides or kids) that we had ever done. Dogs are terrific and provide some kind of calm in a crazy world! I bet there are more puppy kisses to come!

I bet that vegetable soup is delish! That is one of my favorites, homemade vegetable soup.
