This Is A BIG CAT!!!!!111 It's HUGH!!!!!111

Got it in my email with this text:
"Here is a photo of a cougar killed SW of Jet Oklahoma. The guy who shot it is 6 foot tall and weighs about 220 lbs. He was in a deer stand and saw the cat pass him downwind. He then saw it pass him upwind. When the cat passed him again (closer this time) downwind, he knew that it was hunting him. So, boom."

WOW :wow:

2. Poor cougar.
A shot fired into the air or ground would have scared it off.

3. Wow, I had no idea they got that big.
And I too think the cat could have been easily scared off, without resorting to shooting it. It's not like the guy's going to use the meat.

8. No kidding
And if the guy was up in a tree stand and could see it, how much danger was he really in? Big predators aren't stupid--seems like if the cougar were stalking him it wouldn't have been out in the open where it could be seen. A shot fired into the ground near the cougar probably would've scared it off.

9. Oh my god! What a fucktard.
That guy is a fucking idiot. First of all, cougars don't typically eat humans. Second, he's in a tree, cougar's on the ground...he's in no immediate danger. Third, as many have said...WARNING SHOT.

What a piece of shit. I hope karma bites him in the ass in a big way.

23. Not necessarily
I have relatives in colorado. Go to some of those parks out there you will see TONS of warning signs about cougars. I remember on of the signs saying in that place they have several attacks (some fatal) a year. Problem is a lot of their natural prey is being driven into urban areas and they follow and lose their natural caution of humans. If they are hungry enough they WILL stalk and kill people, although they prefer pets, sadly.
I am saying nothing about this particular case but cougars are VERY dangerous.

25. Well clearly they're dangerous
but the point remains that he was in no imminent danger. He had ample time to fire a warning shot. If that didn't work, it would have been self defense. As it is, he was an idiot.

15. If that animal DID kill someone,
then hunters would be out in force, shooting every mountain lion they saw, just for revenge.
If this cat truly saw the man as prey, it's probably for the best that the hunter killed it.

just my .02

17. So then he was most likely lying about being hunted by the animal.
He wasn't acting in self defense after all. What a coward.

19. The e-mail itself is a farce.
I don't think the guy, in his defense, started the hoax. The pic was lifted (according to Snopes) and a story was fabricated. The guy is a trophy hunter, used a call, cat came out, he killed it.

He's still a coward.

I'm not strong enough to whoop his ass, unfortunately. But we can dream...

21. Perhaps some buckshit
fired his way from a distance would make him shit his pants, at least. Ironically, I have a thread in GD about those who harm animals getting punished. This asshole should be added to the list. Let's hope his karma includes him getting punished by a cougar when he doesn't have his gun.

tailor made for cases like these.
He can get reincarnated as a rabbit who falls prey to the cougar.
