Hey, how do you deal with a primadonna biatch at work?
Okay, so at work here the radio side works with TV at night. The TV producer/anchor is a fucking cow. It's just stupid. She loves to degrade people in a way so brazen you'd think it was a TV show character. She's been told off a few times... and last time she tried that shit I got very stern with her and she hadn't done it in a while, until tonight. It always hits you off guard. And before you know it you're walking up stairs saying, "What the fuck, how did I let her get away with that?"
When I'm in the right mood I will just snap back, but when I'm not I feel like I've given her a victory. Ugh, I just want it stop.

1. When dealing with a difficult person at work I pretend I'm a dr. on a psych ward
And the person in question is one of the patients. I understand his or her pathology. I understand why they behave the way they do. But - he or she's not my PATIENT. His or her behavior is not my problem. I just have to make sure he or she doesn't interfere with what I have to do.

2. You protect yourself
By keeping a journal. Detail the incidents. Exactly what happened. When. Where. Who observed it. Other participants.

And if you are being accused of things that you did not do - or of not doing things which are not your responsibility then you also document. You are being manipulated to do somebody else's job or to cover for someone else's failures.

If your job gives you discretion to make decisions without consulting with others and those decisions are the subject of the confrontation I would also document that.

When you have documented a pattern of verifiable incidents then go to her supervisor and demand that the conduct be confronted and that it cease. If it continues demand that the offender be scheduled to work at a time or location where you do not have to work with her.

4. You know what you have to do.
You have to have sex with her. It is, really, the only way to overcome assholishness of any kind. Go on. Have some sex.

5. Well, If she is a cow
Make chocolate chunk cookies with exlax...let her have a field day. The next day look her square in the face and say...."gee, your eyes aren't brown anymore"...then walk away.
