So what country will Freepers go to if Bush loses
OK, I've heard liberals ponder swell places like Canada, Europe and New Zealand if the U.S. slides into Facsism. But I wonder where right wingers will threaten to flee to if things don't go their way? Almost every place with a reasonable standard of living would be considered too socialist for them - and forget trying to learn a second language.

So who will take these pitiful refugees?

11. I was kind of hoping they would stay
here since that is what is so great about our country. Sorry if you don't like my answer, but I spent my entire life in the military so everybody in our country can think and say what they want.

7. Almost any island in the Caribbean...
...especially the ones known for turning away gay cruise ships and banning same-sex couples from resorts (can you say "Sandals"?). Jamaica should be especially welcoming.

Seriously, it makes sense to me. There's a heavy right-wing Christian population that hates homos with a passion. And just think -- plenty of marijuana for the new immigrants to stamp out (RWers must have something evil to fight!).

Many of the islands are in desperate need of cash -- and the Radical Right's got it.

They won't have to learn another language, because just about everybody down there speaks English.

Plus, it'll remind them of Florida.

All they have to do is choose an island that doesn't already belong to the U.S., the U.K., or France.

With any luck, they'll all move to the same island where they'll be "Raptured" without warning by an act of God. I'm thinking hurricane, or volcano.

25. But the problem would be that some of those Caribbean islands
have leaders who antagonized * and the right wing neo cons by either not endorsing the Gulf War or refusing to agree to American immunity in relation to the International Court.

Although they should try Haiti -I'm sure that Jean Betrand Aristide's lack of respect for democracy will make them feel at home and nostalgic for the times when * was in power.

Additionally they could go to some of the African nations -I've heard that they are as fervently wingnut as some of the American right wingers when it comes to issues such as homosexuality

9. I don't think they'd have anywhere to go.
There are no Christian fundamentalist countries in the world. We're the closest to it. There are Islamic fundamentalist countries, but not Christian. They'd have to form their own country.

16. Russia. 15% flat tax. Russia must be heaven </sarcasm>
Seriously, since Russia's income tax rate is a flat 15%, Republicans should migrate there. After all, a flat tax is the cure to all of societies ailments, from budget deficits to crime to rotten roads. Let them migrate to Russia and see how easy it is to become entreprenuers in a country with no effective govt, rampant crime and corruption, and few safeguards for consumers/businesses.

21. Unfortunately, this one.
They'll go dig a bunker in Idaho & stockpile weapons.

Republicans need to seriously reconsider their concept of patriotism. Every successful Representative democracy is built on the premise of a "loyal opposition", yet they have demonstrated quite thoroughly that they are NOT loyal to a Democratic administration: they didn't support Clinton during Bosnia, or Somalia, or when he attacked Al Quiada. For eight years their only objective was to find something they could hang an impeachment on - not the most loyal thing you can do, hmmmm?

During the 2000 election, the FL legislature and Gov Bro said that if the voters went against Jr, they would IGNORE THEM AND APPOINT ELECTORS for FL!

The GOP is the party of treason.

freepers would want set up shop in the "holy land" - most of them don't know he's a yankee either. Also, isn't Texas always talking about seceeding from the rest of the US?

I'm not sure, I might have dreamt it or something. :)

Think about it. Illegal diamonds, Fundamentalist Christian Theocracy, Vile corruption from Pat Robertson: How could the Freepers resist?

Sure, they'd have to do something about the name. But living in Freeperia would bring back the good old days before liberals kicked Jesus out of schools and brought the Negros to the front of the bus.

Freep heaven!
