Poll question: Hosting a Super Bowl party for the teenagers in a few hours.
Should I buy them name brand drinks, or the store knock off?

1. So long as you have a nearly endless amount of drinks and snacks
I don't think they'll care what the brand is. :)

Good luck cleaning up afterward. :wow:

3. I know.
:eyes:

Fortunately, it's a good crowd. My son is by far the messiest. He's like a bull in a china shop.

2. The more potatoes used to filter the vodka, the better.
So go with the Grey Goose instead of the Papov.

10. Yes.
A good parent would want to be mindful of those nasty morning after hangover headaches that cheap liquor tend to give.

Or you could just pray on it and hope their parents won't send you nasty PMs.

5. Check ID at the door.
matcom has been looking for a teen outfit for the last 3 weeks.

And go with the name brands, because it's just 'kewel' and you wouldn't want to mess with your kids' 'kewel' factor by having their friends know they drink inferior beverages. Like, I mean, totally!

9. Of course you did.

My son and his friends aren't there yet, but TM and her friends are. One of her friends walked home the other night completely shit faced. A pretty long walk, too. It was freezing as well.

She's lucky she didn't get hit by a car or get assaulted. I swear, I don't know what I would do if I had to deal with that. Thank God for Show Choir.

20. I did that New Years. 4 degrees outside with a medium coat and a hoodie
Walked about a mile. Thankfully I was so drunk that I couldn't remember most of it and my friend was sober and didn't let me play in traffic.

Charge them admission at the door, and they can bring their own beverages.

14. And make sure to confiscate any illicit substances at the door
And weapons. Threaten to tell their parents if they decline being searched.

Keep the good dope, and sell the guns.

Win-win, all the way around.

16. Only if you are a Scientologist
And get the commission for recruiting new victims for the scam.

I say go for it. Teenagers believe just about anything. Tell them about the spaceships, and all that nonsense. They like that space alien stuff.

Better yet, start your own religion. Cut out the middleman. It would be pretty cool to have your own teenage zombie followers.

17. Whiskey, and video the entire event.
Blackmail them all with the footage for the rest of the school year. They don't pay, onto YouTube it goes.

23. You are SuperMom!
Now that Debi,Jr. is out of high school and an adult I nixed parties at our house (and then held one on New Years x()

Oh, and for the poll - give em knock-offs - buy a bunch of the weird flavors along with the basic cola/non-cola/yellow crap - we bought black cherry/cream soda/root beer, etc. and the kids loved it. (Oh, we bought some pineapple sherbet and vanilla ice cream too - so they could make floats or smoothies out of the sodas too).

Good luck!
