Let's come up with a "Southern Progressive Strategy"
Seriously... However, I don't know where to begin. Uhm, how about all the textile plant closings in the Carolinas? That's got to have people in those parts hot under the collar. There's got to be a way to get some Southerners to swing towards the center and points left... Labor could be a BIG issue!

Any comments? Do any DU Southerners have any ideas?

I think it's a worthy idea.

1. I think what motivates southerners is what motivates most people.
1. The economy, specifically *'s mishandling of it.
2. Loss of jobs.
3. Education not fully funded by *.
4. * being a lying sack of excrement
5. How tax decreases are actually tax increases when you look at total taxation.
6. Homeland Insecurity.

The list goes on and on...remember a LOT of southerners are not from here (me included).
