There's A Raccoon On My Roof RIGHT NOW Trying To Claw A Hole Into My Room

I'm trying to get to sleep, I hear this sound like someone is walking on my roof (I'm on a second-floor bedroom).

I go outside, look up by my room, and see a Raccoon on the roof right by where the wall opposite my bed is.

I went back inside, got a flashlight, and shone it up there. The racoon was the size of a medium-sized dog!

Now what the hell do I do? Hope it goes away?

Why is the racoon up on my roof? What does it want, a place to stay? Food? I mean, there's garbage cans outside, what the hell does it want in my room?

Is it trying to log onto DU or something?

If you see any posts from me tonight asking for where the best garbage is, I swear, it's not me. :)

But seriously, what do I do about this?

2. I had a racoon on my roof once.

I would catch it hanging around once in a while. I thought it might be living in my attic but I don't think so. I said Hi sometimes and it would stare at me or run off. We mostly stayed out of eachothers way. I never had a problem with it but I don't know what kind of damage it might do to your house down the road. :shrug:

We are getting in baby raccons right now in fl and they do like to nest in attics.
