Poll question: Favorite B-52's Song
I'm in a retro mood today!

If yours is not on the list, please tell us what it is!

*note* the absence of "Love Shack" and "Roam" is not accidental. While they are fine songs, I am sort of sick of them due to being overplayed on the radio.

My personal favorite is a toss-up between Private Idaho & Legal Tender.

2. Bad Influence
Every other song is great fun and loveable, but B.I. has a nice social commentary to it that just can't be ignored. :D

3. After much hand-wringing and teeth-gnashing, I vote "Planet Claire".
Although...Private Idaho is a favorite of mine, too.

17. YESSSS!
Not just the best B52's song, but one of the best pop songs ever penned.

Damn I love the first album and Wild Planet.

The first album was the first CD I ever bought--because I'd worn out two LPs!

10. My favorite - Dirty Back Roads
Edited on Mon Feb-09-04 08:03 PM by jpak
I saw them several times in Athens before they went big-time.

My aunt also got a gold record from them - she was the inspiration for Cosmic Thing...

11. Quiche Lorraine!
has anybody seen
a dog dyed dark green?
'bout two inches tall
with a strawberry blonde fall
sunglasses and a bonnet
and designer jeans with appliques on it

But since "Quiche Lorraine" wasn't on the poll, I voted "Rock Lobster"

boys in bikinis
girls & surfboards
everybody's rockin'
everybody's fruggin'
twistin' round the fire, havin' fun
bakin' potatoes bakin' in the sun
put on your nose guard
put on the life guard
pass the tanning butt-taaahhhh

Music was the best part of high school, man.

12. Is that you MoDean?
It's me MoDean!

The interdimensional outer space being!

Not my favorite, but fun and goofy on a lazy Saturday afternoon while gardening.

19. Went for Private Idaho
but I like Dance this Mess Around too, because it's so goofy.

Then again, so are a lot of their songs.

I'll give you fish
I'll give you candy
I'll give you everything I have in my hand

20. Strobe Light
It isn't a family get together until the strobe light comes on and this song is played.
