Okay, someone tell me what I missed.
I've been at dog class. And the beag was brilliant, as always. But apparently something happened in terms of Obama and shaking hands or not. Could someone fill me in? I'd ask in GDP, but, well :scared:

TIA

3. Apparently either he didn't shake her hand or she didn't shake his and Ted Kennedy was involved
somehow.

I don't know the whole story either, I was busy doing my taxes.

9. The sooner I get them done, the sooner I can lock in my student aid money.
So I usually do mine the day I get my w2.

I do them online, so the taxes and FAFSA together only take me an hour or so.

10. Can't do mine online. None of the online programs have the form I need to report
my parsonage value. None of the private ones, not the IRS, none of 'em. I have to snail mail 'em. I think that'll change soon. Maybe it has this year. But I couldn't do it last year.

11. Yeah, that's got to be a fairly uncommon form.
Mine are pretty uncomplicated- here's what I made, here's my kid, I don't own shit, kindly give me my money, thanks! I should get my direct deposit next friday. I used to telefile when they did that, but I still had to do all my own math. The free online filing is pretty sweet because I don't have to bust out the calculator or anything.

The one thing is all the freefile vendors charge extra for state, so I decline that and go do the state for free on the franchise tax board site. I have to reenter a few numbers, but it saves a few dollars and the information goes straight to the FTB (which is right here in town) instead of to some third party tax software vendor and then to them.

13. Yeah, if you're getting money back, the sooner the better.
I pay quarterly estimates, and I pretty much always underestimate by a little. So, I always owe. And I'd like to hold on to that a wee bit longer. They'll just have to wait a few weeks to pay for that new bomber.

17. Well.. based on my 10 minutes in GDP (and surviving)..
Obama & Clinton were about 3 feet apart.. Obama was between Clinton & Sen. Kennedy, and Clinton and Kennedy shook hands.

It gets messy on if you want to belive that Obama snubbed Hillary by turning away, or Obama was polite to Hillary by stepping out of the way during the handshake.

My opinion is that neither of them really wanted to shake hands, and the MSM quickly decided that an Obama/Hillary fight was much more interesting to report then anything Georgie discussed during the SOTU Address.

If I wasn't pregnant right now, i'd knock back a bottle of wine and just relax.. instead i'm having juice. Aghghghghghghhhghghghg!!!!!!!!

18. Thanks for that. Best explanation I've seen.
Makes me feel better about myself. I've been silently enjoying the fact that a colleague I DO NOT care for is being disciplined by the Association for some mild misconduct. Then I've been ashamed for being mean and petty.

But, if two supposed grown-ups running for president can behave like this, and/or if grown-up media professionals can make such a bfd out of it, well, my quiet, private warm fuzzy over someone's comeuppance doesn't seem quite so bad.

19. Nice analogy... now that you mention it,
My 2 & 1/2 year olds behavior really isn't all that bad when put in perspective. :) In fact.. she's a downright angel compared to the circus that has become the democratic primaries.

Just tonight she threw her pasta on the floor because she wanted to eat her oranges. We made her clean up the mess, apologize, and sit in time-out for 2 minutes and she behaved quite well for the rest of the night.

Maybe Obama & Clinton just need to clean up the mess, apologize, and sit in time out for a short time. :)
