I miss being able to use chicken broth in soups... vegetable broth doesn't quite do it.

And, don't even mention that "Unchicken" broth or whatever it's called. I'm an American, dammit... I don't eat that Commie stuff.

2. And, she's SNEAKY about it!
She made me a Trader Joe's egg roll the other day, and I'm munching away when she goes, "That eggroll's vegan, you know." She then cackled evilly.

I had to go and lick a stick of butter (not pink) to make me feel better....

4. HAHAHAH!! Did you ever figure out what turned it pink?
I actually think about that occasionally, and am bewildered (and mildly creeped out) by the pink butter.

10. TJs has vegan egg rolls?
Why does nobody tell me these things?

I know where I'll be going this evening.

11. oooooh, also be sure to check out their vegan noodle entrees...
Not in the freezer section, but over where they have the pasta. They have kung pao, satay and pad thai. All vegan, all REALLY good (they're in a container like Chinese take-out).

12. I've had those.
I wasn't real crazy about them, they're a bit bland.

They eat meat.

6. She's got a GIANT KILLER LIZARD and you're all up in arms about diet?
Do the words GIANT KILLER LIZARD mean nothing to you?

My box turtle is not amused.

14. The only thing her GIANT KILLER LIZARD has killed of mine is a flip-flop
Then, the dog killed her flip-flip.

Of course, the lizard weighs a pound and the dog weighs 40lbs.

7. rock on, although (and please don't take this the wrong way)
making chicken stock from scratch is one of the things that made me go vegetarian. Stick with the cans.

it just got to me. It wasn't the only thing, but it was one of the toppers.

17. I hear ya, LiV... I hear ya.
Although my wife is starting to turn the other way about as much as I turn towards vegetarianism. She recently ordered a pizza while I was away, and instead of giving her pineapple, they gave her pepperoni... AND SHE ATE IT! :wow:

18. That would NEVER happen with Haruka
She'll scarf down a big plate of sashimi, but even chicken grosses her out.
