7. Monday answers.
1 - I'm reading two books at the moment, I forget the exact titles but one is a history of the Middle East, the other is Anglo-Saxon history - I've just finished (as in this morning) a book on Serbia and the Serbs.

2 - Supper on Saturday, fresh spaghetti in a ricotta, leek and white wine sauce.

3 - Not entirely sure as it was ages ago, I think it was Mikey-the-Rat.

4 - Probably the last person to whom I spoke. :eyes: Seriously, I've had to keep a few things quiet from certain people at work (horrific intra-office politics going on, which I'm trying to avoid) not so much a lie as not revealing all of the information.

5 - Purposefully exercised years ago, I try to live a life and have a life-style which includes activity as an inherent part.

Well the best part of the ones I made the last couple days are the whole wheat roll-ups I'm using, which I got in a big package from Costco so I don't know how easy they are to get at the grocery store.. I'm hoping I'll find them there because they're perfect.
I laid the thing out flat then put a layer of hummus. Then I put in strips: a little feta cheese pieces, some crated carrots, then thin bell pepper slices (from a freezer bag of pepper slices, cheap from Giant), then thin sliced tomatoes laid flat, then I put a little seasons on this stuff then I rolled it up and added some cheese at the end to hold the last flat together, then I stuck some toothpicks in it and the backed it until the color started to change. I sprayed the tops of the rolls with Pam before I baked it because when I first did it they got too crispy on top.

This IS NOT exactly a recipe maybe but I've only done it twice! I was happy with how they turned out.

(edit- I'm NOT a cook by the way so if anyone sees this and thinks it looks silly to put this stuff together then it's my mistake.. but I think it came out great.)

"1. what was the last book you read or are reading?"
Um, heh, heh, heh, um. I think it was the program that I got at the monster truck rally. Yeah. Grrrrr. Vroooom vrooooom! Truckasaurus!

"2. what was the last thing you cooked?"
Duded, I totally fried my brains in college in the '80s. There was this one dude from Mexico or Korea or something who used to bring this primo blow. I got so wired this one time while watching Crocodile Dundee--I went on the roof and started yelling at cars. Good times, good times.

"3. who was the last du'er you pm'd?"
Du'er? Is that like Dewers? Cuz I like Scotch a lot. I got some scientists at the Pentagon trying to figure out how I can replace my blood with Scotch.

"4. who was the last person you lied to?"
Huh? I'm lying right now! Remember when Captain Kirk told that robot
that everything he said is a lie and it blew up. I wish I could have been assigned to the Starship Enterprise instead of the dumb old Air National Guard.

"5. when was the last time you exercised?"
Aw heck, my whole day is one big work-out. Condi keeps bugging me to do more presidenting, but I have totally plateaued on my delts. First things first.

44. .
1. what was the last book you read or are reading? - Battle of Wits: The Complete Story of Codebreaking in World War II by Stephen Budiansky

2. what was the last thing you cooked? - Chicken parm with ziti, last night

3. who was the last du'er you pm'd? - I almost never PM. It might have actually been you, last summer, when I was asking for NYC info.

4. who was the last person you lied to? - My boss. I told him that I needed the Monday after the Super Bowl off because my brother will be in town to watch the game with me and I have to see him off to the airport Monday afternoon (and yes, I researched a plausible flight number just in case). Truth be told, he's not coming at all - I'll simply be sleeping in until at least noon. Fortunately, my boss is a Bushie who wouldn't be caught dead on this site.

5. when was the last time you exercised? - This morning.

1. what was the last book you read or are reading?
Catch 22 (almost done) and Hubris (about midway through)

2. what was the last thing you cooked?
a dark chocolate cake with white and dark chocolate ganache for a friend's birthday.

3. who was the last du'er you pm'd?
Bicoastal

4. who was the last person you lied to?
I don't remember. The last time I lied was most likely to my boss, and may have involved feeling worse than I did. I'm a fairly honest and straightforward person.

5. when was the last time you exercised?
Today if taking the stairs (5 flights) at work counts. Yesterday if sex counts. Saturday if baking and decorating a cake counts (if it did, it got cancelled out by eating it). Friday working on the house rehab project if not. The sex was pretty "active" for lack of a better word, so I'm going to count that because I like that answer best. Who says exercise can't be fun?

1. "Farewell Summer", by Ray Bradbury. It's the sequel to "Dandelion Wine". I'm about halfway through it, and so far, it's nowhere near as good as "DW".

2. Scrambled eggs for me and Mrs. Aristus on Saturday morning.

3. NewWaveChick1981. Asking her where the heck she has gone to...

4. Mrs. Aristus. I told her my cup of joe was decaf, not regular. She's worried that I'll get addicted to caffeine again. Too late...

5. Saturday afternoon. Did a 5-mile run in the freezing cold with Mrs. Aristus.

:hi: Lionesspriyanka!

63. Last book: Cloister Walk.
I got some books as a gift from someone here. And it's a wonderful book. I would have to go look to see who the author is though.

Last think I cooked: probably the white bean and spinach soup I cooked when I was in Ohio.

Last DUer I PMed: InfoManiac.

Last Person I lied to: A sales rep at work yesterday.

Last time I excercised: I climbed stairs on crutches yesterday. Does that count? If you mean formal excercise then that would be when I was in Physical Therapy last summer.
