2. It's a fun reality tv show with 10 teams of 2 racing around the world for $1 million
http://alpha.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race12/
The teams have to race each other as they travel 30,000 miles around the world doing these various tests and challenges along the way. It's fun to see the dynamics among the different teams as they do all that and each week another team is eliminated, gradually whittling them down to the winning team.
The finale was last week and really cool couple ended up winning it.

With your penchant for occasional travel, I bet you'd like this show. I'm surprised you've never heard of it. It's been around for a while, but we only got into it ourselves a couple seasons ago.
:hi:

4. I hardly ever watch tv either...but then I got TIVO
and it's totally changed the way I watch. I still don't watch much...but when I do, it's on MY terms b/c I've recorded what I want to see and I can skip right over the pesky commercials. :D

5. Me too
it's one of my favorite shows!

This year, my favorite team was the goths. They were SO nice...to each other and also to the other teams.

6. for the first time ever I liked all of the final 3 teams
I did root for the hippie couple but I wouldn't have been upset to see either of the other 2 teams come in first. That grandpa really rocked.

7. I didn't really like
the Asian dad. What a JERRRK! I liked the daughter, until she screwed people with the airplane flight in one of the final shows.

And I'm SO glad the completely dysfunctional dating couple didn't win. I hope they broke up, that relationship was toxic.

But I did like the grandpa a lot. Good for him kicking ass when he's almost 70!

8. I saw the winning team walking down the strip in Vagas in December
Oddly we had been offered the first show of this year on the flight in. My buddy had never seen it before, he couldn't understand why everyone said everything in threes "Hurryhurryhurry" Leftleftleft"

Anyone we were walking down the strip on Saturday and there were TK and.... her. I didn't say anything to them and for some reason it convinced me that they didn't win.

That is two "hippie" teams in a row, right?

9. I've been a fan since the 1st season. My all time
favorite team is Danny and Oswald. I loved when they got out of the cab in Hong Kong on the way to the airport to get in some last minute shopping. Priorities! Also loved the dad at the beer garden in Munich who had to stop for a brew. I like it when the teams take a moment to appreciate where they are.

It's also such a great travelogue and provides a lot of insight into countries and cultures. And you have to love Phil.

I agree, fun to watch. Looking forward to the next one.
