2. Heh. My hair used to do really big ringlets when it was a certain length
But it's so thick that now that it's longer than that length, the sheer weight pulls it straight. :P

4. when my hair was longer it didn't do ringlets
now that it's shorter it does. i guess one of the advantages is that i don't have to do anything to my hair in the morning(not that i ever have)

7. One needn't have an excuse
to do something pretty with their hair.

I think I might go for elf/hippie braids tomorrow, just for the hell of it. :)

12. Of course not.
Emos have ugly hair. :P

Although I did decide to go over-the-top cheesy high school goth for halloween a couple years ago... got a cheap velvety black cape from a halloween store and used cheap eyeliner. :P

15. I like the goth look
I just don't like the cheap crappy fake goth look. And I'm just too lazy to put that much work into any outfit to pull off any variation of real goth. :P

It's hard to picture you going goth... although I suppose the Shirley Temple curls can be gothified...

16. yeah, we went the cheap goth route
we just liked freaking people out

i'm not a fan of the goth look... then again i'm not a fan of the bubble-gum preppy look. i usually just wear t-shirts and jeans except when i'm a work(where i have to dress up since it's a law firm).

20. Yeah, I'm pretty much an anti-preppy.
The only reason I don't have a constant 5 o'clock shadow is because it takes me about a week to grow that much of a beard... :P

One might say it's all part of a package (if One didn't mind being smacked upside the head, that is)...

:hide:

18. Nothing wrong with curly hair.
Mine gets wavy as long as I keep it short. If it gets too long, it gets unwashable, it's so thick. But that's a good problem to have. I've known women who were really jealous of me for it.
I'm not into messing with my hair either.

I wash it at night in the shower, slather on lots of conditioner, towel dry, comb thru it wet, and sleep on it wet (with towel on pillow). It makes ringlets in the morning. Then I brush it and most of the wave goes out and some stays in.

Ava, you're cool whatever your hair looks like. You're a lovely young lady. You don't have to dress up to be fabulous. <--advice from a woman old enough to be your mom and then some.

19. Hi Ava, I wish you were here... I'd pinch BOTH of your sweet cheeks!

I love your hair! And this is from a woman age 68 and old enough to be your grandmother!

Hair texture changes as you age.

Mine had kind of deep waves when I was young, so I kept it short.

Then, when I worked for Clairol, I permed it ever three months.

Now, I'm retired and my nine-year-old granddaughter convinced me to let it grow. I've got it longer and I can keep it pretty straight or use a diffuser to get some curls where I want them.

Anyway, I just wanted to chime in. Good news: Hubby and I celebrate our 35th Anniversary on February 4th.

Here's the photo we took on our wedding day: (Those two little cherubs of mine are now in their late 30s!!)

Have a wonderful week -- and nice to see you again!
