3. I'm a little confused as to what happened.

I've been trying to figure out why Marlo killed Prop Joe.

Was it because of his connections to Omar, or did Marlo want to replace Prop Joe as a business partner for Vondas and The Greek? Or both?

Either way, sad to see Prop Joe go.

EDIT: Also, who was the man who was tied up that Chris took Cheese to go see?

8. Power
Prop Joe ran the consortium, and he also was the source for the good s*it from the Greeks. Once Marlo was sure he could get the stuff from the Greeks, no need for Prop Joe.

The guy that was tied up was the guy Cheese was arguing with at the conference.

10. I like that...
Also it seems to me that Marlo knew that Omar was protected/respected by Prop Joe. Even though Marlo says (paraphrasing by me) "I didn't need a father", seems to me a bit of a complex on Marlo's going on there.

13. I don't know if
Marlo knows about Prop Joe and Omar, but there's definitely some complex he's got going on.

15. you're right...
I'm not sure Marlo does know. My thinking at the end of the episode was.."jeez, McNulty might be right about the serial killer..." Marlo just had that look in his eyes.

17. Interesting
I never thought of it like that before: Marlo is, by any definition, a serial killer. McNulty probably doesn't realize the analogy he's fulfilling through the haze of Jameson's, but there it is.

18. I've been mulling it over
because of Lester's involvement...I don't think he'd bring all his powers to bear on a whim.

11. D'oh! Of course.
I figured the Greeks tried to make Marlo stay away when they tried to hand back the money, but they saw he was too insistent after all.

But had Cheese argued with that guy before? And why would Marlo (via Chris and Snoop) grabbing the guy for Cheese make Cheese betray Joe like that?

14. I think
Marlo just figured that Cheese was ready to turn and took the opportunity to scratch his back.

12. I think because he tied up all the loose ends where he needed Joe
He got the laundry business settled, got his offshore account, and got himself in with the Greeks -- doesn't need Prop Joe anymore. Plus, Cheese was a liability to Marlow, or -- maybe he wanted to recruit Cheese for his own purposes, and while Joe was alive, he knew he couldn't?

it's not that hard to keep a spoiler out of the thread title.

edit: and as to your specific point, not all cable systems are putting the new episodes on a week early (mine included)

9. Very uncool to post that in the title
Not everyone wants to know what happens -- and some people might be on a different schedule than you are. Even if it airs, what if someone just recorded it to view later? Just not cool. But hopefully you got the message.
