I got a JOB!!

Full time too.
I was supposed to start a 2 week contract job tomorrow for the same company and they had someone else starting today for a full time gig.
He flaked, didn't even call ( I hope he is alright), anyhoo, I got the full time gig.
A 33% pay cut from my last job, but raises to almost the level after hire.
It was getting tight here at casa de diverdave and this is OUTSTANDING news!

tough for you now. You are in my thoughts.
But hang in there. I really havn't been working full time since last june.
There is hope, if I can get a job, your hubby should be able to.
I took ANYTHING, 2 days-2 weeks, it didnt matter.
I showed them I could do the job, and wasn't afraid to get down and dirty.
Course, 2 kids and the bills kinda makes it tough to turn down anything.

Were you out of work long? It's amazing--the longer you're unemployed, the more you can handle a "cut in pay." My boyfriend and I, laid-off tech workers, were laughing the other night about how much money we've made in the last year--a good 50% less than when we were fully-employed tech geeks--and we consider ourselves well off . . .

Anyway, congrats!
