Is a stomach virus contagious between
humans and their pets?

I went home sick yesterday with a stomach virus and today my little rat terrier (who spent the day in bed with me licking my face) has some digestive issues. She did not eat anything out of the norm.

I wonder.... :shrug:

1. Actually, there is no such thing as...
a true "stomach virus" -- Dr. Dean Edel talked about that on our local TV station. If you have just vomiting alone, no lower GI symptoms, is always food poisoning of some sort. Did you guys share some food that may have made you both sick? Humans and pets can't (to my knowledge) share viruses, just bacteria and parasites.

3. My issue was all lower GI and so is hers....
