Living in the UK I don't really come into contact with Republicans, other than via the fool's lantern.

However, I was on another non-political US based forum the other day and I raised an objection about the expression "operation "Iraqi Freedom"" to describe a set of images posted by a contributor.

Then it began.

If I'd posted a comment advocating compulsory child pornography in schools for all under 5s, I'm sure they couldn't have gone crazier.

First came the personal attacks, followed by the fucking flag waving, vomit-inducing pseudo patriotism. I tried to escape, but these mothers hounded me. Ha! In the end, they became so frenzied that they actually forgot what I had said in the first place, as they lined up to spew their venom forth.

These people are FUCKED!

Praise the lord and all his saints that I don't live in the US of A.

How do you people deal with it?

I mean, besides being clinically deluded, these assholes are dangerous.

4. I will say all this Bible business is driving me nuts.

I can not figure where it came from. I feel like Europe and Canada have move along into knowing War gets you little and they have the history to know this, as we are like children to their adults and have learned little of history as of now.We are like teen-ages that still think the bully wins. No one here seems to see that no empire has lasted!We came from the Bible wars and the start of the country knew that and guess we will have to re-learn what those men knew.

6. I think what it shows

is that a lot of people would rather mindlessly hate someone than get to know them. I've long ago discovered that these creatures aren't interested in debate or even civility; they would prefer to attack. And since their positions are usually nontenable, they attack personally.
