17. Had the day off but interviewed for another job

I'm a contractor so I only get paid when I work. Today I couldn't work, so I lost pay. But an interview came up -- and I had to work all day to get ready for it and go through it. As I like to say when going through this interviewing rigmarole: "All work and no pay!"
