14. Well, I don't do RenFaires or that...

The SCA is a completely different organization than RenFaires. For one thing, unless the event is an official demonstration, the public is *not* allowed to come in, so you're not "performing," you're attempting to live medievally. For another, the SCA is a 501C3 not-for-profit educational organization.

Secondly, no one does real jousting in the SCA. It's not considered safe enough for our standards. People do joust with lances at practice pells, but not with other people. Anyone can do that fake jousting, though, regardless of sex, as long as they're over 18 and can ride a horse well enough.

AFAIK, people don't joust at Ren Faires, either, mostly for insurance reasons, same as in the SCA.

However, there is a jousting organization that holds professional-type tourneys every so often, and some of their jousters are women.

But I can describe us. He is 6'4" and 375lbs, and I am 4'10" and 107lbs. He wears a long black leather trenchcoat and combat boots, and I wear fuzzy purple clothes and funny earrings. He has a tuft of hair that sticks straight up right at the peak of his hairline. We both wear glasses.

She is 4'10" 107lbs. I am 6'4" 375lbs. She wears fuzzy purple clothes and weird toe socks. I wear a long black trenchcoat and occasionally combat boots. She is so incredibly cute, when she smiles she reminds me of a chipmunk or some other amazingly cute, fuzzy, little, cuddly animal. And she has the dreamiest eyes...

And shes a democrat and one of the nicest, kindest people I have ever known. I love her. :loveya:
