adding a visible watermark using Photoshop 6.0?
I have some photos I want to post on-line, but I want one of those translucent letter things indicating my copyright.

How can I make one in Photoshop, and is there a way to quickly apply it to a whole bunch of photos?

1. read the html manuals about creating 'actions'
create text, place it, drop opacity, save. make an action doing that, and point it to a folder.

that is all.

3. So, if I make an 'action' and point it to a folder...
...it'll mark all the photos therein? How do I determine where on the photo the watermark will appear?

4. I said 'that is all'
not to sound rude, but I'm a big proponent of exploration in photoshop, try it.

5. K, it's just I don't have any manuals...
this copy came from my Father-In-Law's estate.

2. Create an original watermark with your initials in it
I had people steal my photos when I use to sell merchandise on eBay and it drove me nuts.

They would cut the bottom of the picture off and still use it.

7. Simple.
Add a new layer to your photo. Place your watermark text on that layer. In the layers window, right-click on the new layer name, select Blending Options, and turn your opacity down until you reach the visibility that you want for your watermark. Then save it into whatever format you want.

To apply this to multiple images you'll have to copy/paste the originals into the background layer and save it with a new name.
