My Dog Hates Bush* Too
This morning I quietly sneaked out of the bedroom for my first (late) cup of coffee. Mike was still asleep and our little Shi-Tzu, Mitzi, was sleeping on the foot of the bed (as is usual on the weekends).

I turned on the TV and tuned it to NBC. There was Tim Russert asking a question. As soon as Bush* began to speak, his voice frightened Mitzi and she began to bark and howl to warn Mike that something was wrong.

There was something about his voice... his tone... his manner of speaking that even little DOGS don't like!! Too funny!!

2. If you recall, his own dog isn't too fond of him, either.
He dropped the poor little guy and he ran away...:-(

3. A dogs hate..
His cat hated him too,
Bush couldn't live with his cat cause the cat has claws and the cat ran away over and over,He let him know how he feels..

If dogs are "mans best freind" and even the dogs hate bush,Guess it means bush is inhuman? He's certainly no freind to anyone.

4. I remember him talking about his seven-toed cat, Ernie
during the campaign. He said how much he missed him. And then he gave him away. How much sense does this make? I need help in catching my own rescued cat in my own house when I have to take her to the vet, but I love her and she is my responsibility, despite anything else.

I agree with you about Bush*. He is definitely not a friend to man nor beast. I think he acquires these animals as photo-ops, since it worked well for his mother, but it certainly hasn't worked out well for him. Where does Laura fit into all this, do you think? Is she the original "Stepford Wife?"

6. Step ford wife?
Yeah.

Saw a weird thing on public television today .It was a look back at Lawrence Welk show.I watched it because it was so well..weird.Fascinating in it's revulsion and humorous cognitive dissonance.Since the show was presented as a nostalgic look back, it had stuff from I think the 50's and 60's that sounded like the 40's.It was Scary scary scarrry.I'm so glad I wasn't a teen in the 60's "square" culture. It would have killed me being that stiff, fake,'pure' and appropriate as these people appeared.
I swear the Lawrence Welk people on the show looked so right wing,It could have been bush and his buddies up there, performing a Neo-con talent show. With all that so very conservative, squeaky clean entertainment, the smiles so fake and so on cue.The ugly as sin dresses(all hems at the knee) and Ronald Reagan haircuts bow ties, suits with electric guitars and hamming up,electric piano nightmares.. it was a spectacle lost in this god-n-country themed extravaganza of pseudo religious, patriotic self/sexual repression set to music from hell that was wafting off the TV screen with all that stiff and this no hips at all 'dancing'too.
The announcer lady was a dead ringer for a step ford wife and she was incredibly spooky. She was from Texas too.
Couldn't help thinking maybe she had dead bodies hidden backstage or something.
Seeing this slice of Neo-con culture,I can safely say, that is something no sane person would EVER want to go back to.

8. I agree with you. Lawrence Welk gives me the creeps, as well.
I remember my grandmother saying that she would tune in because her neighbor told her to, and this was not that long ago, and I was determined that she just wouldn't do it. My grandmother voted for Bill Clinton!

I guess that's what things were like. There was a post, recently, about Howard Dean's wife. I guess she was criticized by the mainstream because she kept her own name and persued her own career instead of just following her husband. I posted that it reminded me of the criticism that Hillary Clinton had to endure and still endures. She is her own person.

The time of Mamie Eisenhower and Pat Nixon is long past. Laura Bush* is a blast from the past. The next first lady will be much different, I certainly hope.

10. Back in 1992...
My wife and I were watching the Repuke convention to sneer at Dan Quayle. he got up and started making his wretched speech...

And both of our pet bunnies starting thumping their feet--LOUD, too! They do that when they're angry or smell something they don't like...

11. Hell, * choked on a pretzel,
laid passed out on the floor (sure, it was a pretzel, uh huh), and his dogs didn't even go over to him to see why he was on the floor! Now, any pets I've had would at the very least come over to see if I'd found something to eat, some would actually be worried about me, and some would come to see if I was dead yet (and they could eat me), but none disliked me enough to stay on the other side of the room from me. Ever try doing situps with your dog or cat around? You won't need weights, you'll have the critter on your chest in seconds. Unless you're * - his pets don't even want to be in the same room with him!

12. LOL! My pets, as well
If I was lying down on the floor, they would stick their faces in my face and certainly want to know why! Bush* uses them for photo ops, and then, not very well, as are his few press conferences.
