This is a thread in which I post a picture of my cat Oz (taken today)
She was lounging in a spot of sunshine on the bed. She's 13 years old.

Post your kitteh's picture too!

1. My dear Lex!
Well, since I don't have any cats, I have no cat pics!

But I love your kitty!

She knows where the good spots are...

Very pretty kitteh!

:hi:

Here's Sweetie's most favorite recent pic of our Yo-Yo:

25. Yo-Yo never yells.
She yawns, and we primate-folk hop to attention to serve her!

And we're happy to do it, knowhutImean?

22. She's a perfect example of Mendel's theory of dominant/recessive gene combinations.
Back in 98-99, I lived at a big 96-room CRACK HOUSE over in Raleigh...

Her father was a 20-pound MONSTER of a MainCoon tabby cat; smarter than
most people and twice as strong. I once saw him knock another tomcat
rolling 20 feet with a casual backhand.

And he spent his days teaching the other strays how to attain the "good life"
by sucking up to us residents. Why bother digging through the dumpster
when a few moments of rubbing against our legs would result in fresh treats
straight from our refrigerators?

He was the LEADER of the local strays- so much that I called the shorthaired tabby
who followed him most closely "Protege".

Yo-Yo's mum was a tiny, 7-pound black cat who had been taken in by a person
who I'll thank you to ask me no questions about. EVER.

She ran away, so we thought...but then showed up 3 months later with four
tabby kittens trailing behind. 3 sleek shorthaired tabbys in a row, ass-to-nose,
and a fluffy tabbby female hanging back a few yards.

Well, long story short, the asshholes at the end of the complex got bored one night,
so they loaded their guns, put out some cat food, and then shot all the parking-lot
cats who came to eat it. Shotguns and pistols at close range, against cats who had
been better residents than they ever where.

Yo-Yo's dad, all his followers, his PROTOGÉ, Yo-Yo's 3 brothers...
all dead. Only Yo-Yo survived.

Her natural distrust of primates served her well that night. She always
stayed well away from most people. Even when her brothers were taking
food out of my hand, she would grab a slice of salami and run under
the nearest car to eat it.

Smart girl, that Yo-Yo. Smarter than her siblings, and smarter than the
assholes who killed them, that's for sure!

The assholes who killed them- Well, I left that area and began cohabitating
with my Sweetie about a week after they killed all the kittehs...

But I've heard tell that they all met some very different and untimely ENDS
in the 12 months after I left.
Lots of people have told me lots of stuff about how they died-
crazy, unbelievable shit.

Personally, I don't believe a WORD of it.

37. That pic of Yo-Yo
makes me miss our cat Mau-Mau, also a Maine Coon. She was a skinny, scrappy little girl, though. She loved to sleep in trees.

Yo-Yo-Ma is one big kitty at 15 lbs! Pretty baby!

27. Wow, she's a dead ringer for my Cleo

Sorry, this is the only pic I have handy. Cleo is now the queen of the house. She's dumb, but very strong and fast, and woe betide any neighborhood cat she catches in our yard. It's happened, orange fur was everywhere.

Might as well show the other two:

Amber.

Pips. They both know who the boss is.

However, 1/4th of Scoobie's tail was lopped off for some unknown reason. Hey, she is ripped under that t-shirt, I'll bet!
