Did anyone see the movie "Shoot Em Up"?
Man, my husband and I sat down to watch this movie the other night, and we only made it about 20 minutes in before we both turned to each other and said, "Can we not watch this?" That is the most violent, sexist shit I have seen in a LONG time, and disclaimer! I loved Sin City, loved 300, prefer action movies with no plot or character development, and I'm not squeamish about violence. But this was really seriously over the line.

Was it supposed to be a parody? That's the only thing I can think to explian how Clive Owen and Paul Giamatta got themselves into that mess. Help? Splain please?

there.

anyway, totally forgettable film, but Giamatti getting pissed at Owen's character was amusing at points. Still, it was dire. The "Mystery Men" of action movies.

3. It was complete shit! And nasty shit too.
And believe me, I LIKE shitty action movies! I own Armageddon!

Yeah, Monica Bellucci too. We turned it off right when Paul G had come to see her, so I don't know what happened after that. The bit in the beginning where Clive Owen shot through the umbilical cord turned my stomach, it really did. I was pretty ready to stop there, but we made it another couple of minutes before we deleted the file. Blergh.
