OK, DUers...now the worst song of the 80s...

Of the top of my head, I'd have to say "Union of the Snake" by Duran Duran, or possibly "Da Da Da" by Trio.

1. Oh, God, where to start?
There were SO MANY bad songs in the 80's, particularly from '86 on!

My dad would play it and I'd laugh so hard at it. Of course, I was only 4 back then, so I could see how it would've gotten on your list.

It always felt like a military recruiting song.

You've Got to Fight for Your Right to Party--
It was the middle of the Reagan administration, horrible things were being done in the name of the U.S., and you've got to fight for your right to ...PARTY?

10. OMG, I had most
mercifully forgotten about that total piece of shit song! And you couldn't get away from it the summer it came out, either, that fucking damn song (if you can even call it that, btw) was EVERYWHERE!

The worst thing, though, was that my stepsister (who's my age) LOVED it (she had no taste, then, obviously!), and whenever she visited that summer we always fought over keeping it on the car radio, especially when we were on vacation with our parents.

13. Well...as a matter of fact...
Tonight being the first Saturday night of the month, it's all cover versions!

I wasn't going to spin it, but just for you, I have a particularly vile version of a Rock 'n' Roll classic as covered by Duran Duran on the b-side of a Japanese-only 12".

What is it? You'll just have to tune in and find out...muah hah hah...

26. Worst "Wham!" song? Easy: "Bad Boys"
Complete with a narrated verse by a woman professing her love of 'bad boys'.

Nothing else, even within Wham!'s catalogue, comes close.

28. We Built This City on Rock an' Roll - Jefferson Starship
How such milquetoast drivel could come out of a band with a woman who once sang "White Rabbit" is beyond me. That song didn't even qualify as rock and roll...Gracie should have stuck with whatever pills were making her small...
