6. Here's a serious answer.

GD-P was originally created to get all the political discussions off of GD.

So in GD you could discuss just about anything serious question except politics.
School uniforms, renting versus buying a house, medical insurance, whatever.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

If I were a mod I'd go through GD about every 15 minutes and move ALL the political threads to GD-P.
