7. The insurance company thinks it's "not medically necessary."

I'm appealing. But I may end up having to buy it out of my own pocket. I don't think I can wait as long as it might take to get the insurance company to change their mind.

8. insurance companies are vultures. My insurance will not pay for a colonoscopy...

even though my dad died of colon cancer in his early 40's and both his parents died of cancer. I guess they would rather pay for the treatment than the prevention. Is human resources involved in your case?

10. Our HR where I work does actually get involved with these disputes sometimes.

The guy that sits next to me was having a problem getting them to pay for some treatment for his son and they helped out. The insurance didn't pay for all, but kicked in for some.

Meanwhile, some fat old dude that smokes needs a stint put in, and they pay the whole thing.
