I miss phone booths

Well... here I sit in the airport... one of those areas where you can pay Delta, American, or any of the others to be away from the crowds until it's time for your flight.

So of course, it's full of business and pseudo-businessmen and women.

After being part of cell phone call after cell phone call from those sitting around me and then leaving and being replaced by another one, it just occurred to me....

I MISS PHONE BOOTHS!

I'm not much of an eavesdropper so I don't really care about your quarterlies or who is picking you up or what moron is ruining your business. Especially when I'm trying to concentrate on my expense reports!

Sigh, the good ol' days when people's conversations were private and weren't shouted into some ear piece or handset.

2. Y'know, I don't think I've seen an actual phone 'booth' in YEARS...

I've seen pay phones, sure. I don't have a cel phone so I end up having to use them. But none of them are enclosed anymore.

Either that, or with the hurricanes they can't afford to set up enclosures in FL because they'll end up getting blown down every year... :) I'll keep an eye out around here to see if I see any.
