6. There used to be a deli here
that had a sammich called the Mushroom Delight — roast beef, mushrooms and provolone, with garlic butter on the roll.

To. DIE. for.

I'll have to remember Amato's. Saratoga Avenue's in west San Jose, isn't it? Runs north-south, kinda by 17?

10. Okay, I was thinking of Bascom
but that's farther east.

I remember now. I used to cross Saratoga on 280 when headed for Santa Clara High, on Benton near Kiely. They had a lotta basketball and volleyball playoff games there.

12. Cheesesteak hoagie, provolone, no hot peppers, with mayonnaise.
Yes, mayonnaise. And yes, I have lived in Philadelphia.

Hey, there's NO "right" way. However anyone likes theirs is fine with me...and if the place serves it on waxed paper in one of those plastic baskets, it's probably good.

20. I had lunch at a little hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant yesterday...
...Judy's Kitchen...http://www.jatbar.com/reviews/Cupertino/Judys_Kitchen.asp...and while I ordered my food I took out my wallet to pay for it. Judy said:

"You pay when finished. SIT DOWN!"

So if you wanna talk slogans, I think Judy has Amato's beat...
