REALLY BORING.

In Oregon, we have our primaries in May 2008. Ho, hum. By then, we'll be working to get Sen. Gordon Smith (R) defested.

Here at the DU I'm really turned off -- not by the squabbling -- but by the cold stakes through the hearts of people launched by other DU people.

I joined this group in November 2004 when we were all huddled together in some kind of Democratic unity. That seems to be gone now, at least with a more vocal splinter group of the 113,000 members, IMHO.

Really, I wish I could accommodate all of you. So many hard working DUers as well as people we know here in Portland just itching to come.

I do think often of how lucky we are. Audio Al and I worked for fifty years (each) and then retired with the idea of keeping healthy and staying on travel. We're now away about three or four months each year at time share properties around.

This winter, we go back to visit Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island of Hawaii. Other plans are shaping up for other parts of the year.

I married a travel junkie! It keeps things interesting.
