My turn to whine about how much pain I'm in tonight.
My lower back has been bothering me for the past two weeks, but tonight it's REALLY flaring up. And it's not just my back- my legs are aching too. It has to be the weather- arthritics are VERY sensitive to changes in the weather, and it's been a bit unsettled here today.

I just popped an oxy- perhaps that will relax me enough so I can sleep. I hope so- I have to get up at 7am to go slay some computer virii for a new client.

Damn, being middle-aged sucks at times.

1. My dear Prisoner_Number_Six...
Aw, sweetie, it just breaks my heart to see you in pain...

And I cannot help you at all...

You know what they say...Getting old isn't for sissies...

Feel better quickly, OK?

3. Hi Prisoner... I have the Rx but have chosen to increase my exercise
Edited on Wed Jan-09-08 01:09 AM by Radio_Lady
to ALMOST DAILY in the pool and hot tub, and floor exercises, too.

I think all the computer sitting, sitting for movies, sitting on airplanes, etc. have got to go. START TO MOVE and YOU'LL FEEL BETTER.

But, I guess you're still working -- what do you do in your lunch break? How about before or after dinner? Early morning? Do you have time to AT LEAST do the stretches suggested by most back doctors?

Yours in frequent pain,

Radio Lady Ellen

7. I try to stay on my feet as much as possible
I walk (actually RUN) my sister's dog every day, and I'm as active as I can be, but it's hard some times. I have a steel knee and the other one is crumbling into dust, and my job is a sit-down job (I fix computers), but I still love to walk when I can.

It's just age and a degenerating skeleton. Not a lot to be done about it in the long run.

4. So sorry about the pain. I know what it's like and it can make you want
to blow your head off....or someone else's.

Ever try Glucosamine? I get the stuff at Walgreens and it really helps. I still take pain meds though.

9. I hadn't heard about it before, but I'll track it down and try it.
There's a Walgreens a couple blocks from me. I may stop there tomorrow. Thanks for the advice!
