I'm needing to use reading glasses now, ack!
What is it about turning 40, now 41 that signals the eyes to lose their strength? I've needed glasses since I was 7, so all my life I've needed help. When I got contacts, I was relieved to get rid of something on my nose. Now, I have contacts and glasses, and worse, when my contacts are out, two pairs of glasses at the same time. I suppose when we get the money, a switch to bi-focals is in order.

I just thought amidst the chaos on DU, I would whine a little. x(

I also noticed people referring to DU as "the DU." Do you say "DU" or "the DU?"

3. But...reading glasses are all the rage!
Used ot be you could get reading glasses for really low prices.
Now, even the discount stores sell them for $5 and up.
Target has ridiculous prices for them.

The Pro side to all of this is that there are now many fashion color and shape choices. ;)

4. Waaahhh me too, I think
I just turned 42 on Jan. 2, and a few days later made an appointment with an eye doctor for the first time in 10 years. I've always been 20/20 till my eyes went wonky from hypothyroidism, but even then, I only needed a 7X prescription when I worked at the 'puter. Now I catch myself squinting an awful lot. :( I's old...
