Last night I set off the stupid anti-theft alarm, leaving a store.

I was really irritated, because they NEVER demagnetize my nicotine gum, and on this occasion I had no gum and couldn't even imagine what I'd bought that needed to be demagnetized (it was jigsaw blades). The security person proceeded to ogle my receipt endlessly, trying to figure it out.

At one point she asked me if I had anything electronic in my purse, which resulted in my having to rifle through my purse to see if I had anything in there that would have set off the alarm. I got pissed after a while, so I loudly announced, "It's probably my bottle of Astroglide. I bet it's the lube! That stuff is expensive. Do you want to check the lube?"

She sooo generously asserted that she "just trust(ed) me", and abruptly sent me on my way.

There's a PSA in there somewhere. I'm pretty certain.
