I've been asked to mentor three new clergy.
My judicatory requires licensed pastors--ones with somewhat less training than ordained ones--to be mentored by ordained pastors. The standing committee assigns new licensed clergy to ordained ones as their mentors. And they've assigned me to mentor three new licensees. Something about being respected and experienced. LOL!!

Imagine the power I have! Three newbies to mold and shape as I see fit! Bwahahaha!

2. Well, I assume you ARE "respected and experienced"...
...by those who know you. But it's okay to have self-doubt. Who doesn't? Yet the gifts we have, and the abilities we exhibit to others, are often the very things we can't see in ourselves. So we doubt those who see these things in us. It's natural to do so. But a healthy sense of humility suggests that we might, on occasion, keep our own counsel, and accept the possibility that those others are right. Because what if they are?
