1. She's a girl. Girl cats are crazy. Also, how old is she?

My new baby puss is a tiny ginger exocet missile in comparison with her big uncle Hamish. Hammy's turning into a grumpy old man.

2. They do it when the mood strikes.
It could be anytime of the day. And BANG! they are at it.

3. The first thing to realize about cats is that they will always do the exact opposite
of what you expect.

The next thing to realize is that when you begin expecting the unexpected, they will find some way to surprise you.

Don't ever bother trying to make sense of a cat's behavior. It's a waste of effort. Better to use that time to cater to your cat's every whim. You will be doing that anyway. :hi:

5. Not my cats - I can predict them to a "T"
At 7am they will demand feeding and they can be very annoyed if I don't get their food right away
If Abbott sees an available lap he will take it
If either of my cats see someone other than me they'll hide
Evita will always hide in the Office when I'm in there
If I'm on my bed, Evita will come over and allow me to snuggle her.
If Abbott happens to be in the snuggling position on the bed - he'll leave first before sharing me with Evita (hell I have 2 hands - I can do 2 cats at once)

These 2 are regular like clockwork

7. Old cats become predictable
And eventually we learn to understand some of their looks and actions.

8. Does she head to the litter box right after a zoom?
Had a cat who would race around like she was being chased by a bear. All paranoid and nutz. Then, off to the potty she'd go. Peaceful as a little lamb after that.

We figured she was trying shake a poop loose or outrun the stink of a cat fart.

13. Mine are now...middle aged and predictable...
it is 5:27 pm, dinner is at 6:00 pm...the meowing has begun. Let's not let it be said that kitties are going to let their mommy know it's about dinner time. They also like to go to bed at 10 pm...I go at 11 (have to watch The Daily Show!)...they whine until I agree to go and that depends on how much I hate hearing the meowing in the hallway.

Cats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
