NCAA Football dumbasses. Why isn't the fucking championship played in
fucking Cleveland. Give a northern team a home field advantage.

Make those fuckers play in "real" football weather.

1. Those southern conferences would fall like a house of cards in northern weather
That's why they only play non-conference games in hot, sticky September. If there ever IS a Div-I playoff they would freak at northern home field advantage in late November/early December.

2. Yea. When was the last time a southern team played in the north
after September. Texas came up to Ohio State several years ago and got their asses handed to them. Same thing happens if USC/UCLA goes up to Michigan.

WIMPS!

3. Texas beat Ohio State in Columbus
They didn't get their asses handed to them, they came back in the fourth quarter to win (on their way to the national championship).

4. In SEPTEMBER...
What would happen in November with temps in the 30s, windchill in the teens, and 40 mph winds? Hmmm?

5. Being a Texas girl that moved to Columbus, all I can say is...
BRRRRRRR!!!!

It would be a much tougher road for the team from the south, no matter the team. They just aren't used to the freezing winds that chill you to the bone.

9. yes, like most non-conference games, it was in September
The poster I was responding to said that Texas got their ass handed to them in Columbus, and I was just pointing out that they were wrong.

Texas probably isn't a great example, though, since the Big 12 has a few cold weather teams; as for the SEC, I don't, offhand, remember an SEC team playing in winter weather ...

7. Yeah, let 'em play on a frozen field,
with an arctic wind coming in from the NW. People make such a big deal with workouts in the scorching summer heat. How about playing in the icy cold?

15. Domes keep the rain off the nachos
I don't think the dome is for the comfort of the players.
