Can you recommend a news weekly - Time, Newsweek, whatever?

I don't read them and haven't really kept up on which ones (if any) have decent, progressive reporting. My mom lives in an assisted living facility and doesn't get out much; her local paper is OK but not great, she's a little too mentally befuddled (or possibly just too stubborn to learn) to deal with the Internet (we tried, but she just was never able to grasp how to get to a website and surf around), and during the election season she'd like a subscription to a magazine that covers political issues but also had some entertainment/cultural fluff in it.

Is there any such thing? Thanks for any ideas.... :hi:

is pretty liberal.

if you want straight politics with a liberal slant, I'd go with The Nation but I think Newsweek does a decent job reporting on politics as well as other cultural news
