I survived ENT and audiologist visits with Jack. Barely.

He was NOT happy about being in the waiting room, or being told that he could not shut all the office doors, climb up the radiators, or kiss strange babies. He was really, really good during his exams and then erupted into a hellish, screaming, writhing, clothing-removing fit of hysteria when I told him he had to put his coat back on to leave.

Then we got to the car and I found that he had somehow  managed to steal two double-A batteries from the office. They were curled tightly in each of his chubby fists. He has a really weird affinity for batteries. I don't get it.

He is insane, I am exhausted, and we have to go back in a week.
Now we're home, Jack is getting his Bob Marley fix, and I let the kids have Crappy Meals from McDonalds for lunch.

Baby Benadryl is sounding like a better idea all the time.

:P

6. He was not so cute when he pushed the emergency button on the elevator.
For the most part he's my pal, though.

7. He tried to run off the elevator at the wrong floor,

and I was *thisclose* to letting him.
The big kids were very excited about opening presents. Jack got a doll stroller (which he LOVES) and cried when we tried to make him open the rest of his gifts.

How was your end-of-the-year party?

4. Maybe the battery thing is because`
1. He's not allowed to have them and

2. they are heavier than you'd think for their size.

8. Quite possibly. I found a stash of about a dozen of them
that had been stolen out of our t.v. remotes over a length of time. He's weird like that.

12. Hey. I was just wondering how you've been.

Glad to hear that things are going (relatively) well for you and yours. And thanks for the update on JackMN, I lo-ooove hearing about his adventures.

"He has a really weird affinity for batteries."

Maybe that's where he gets all his energy!
