Bob Novak places third in 800 meter race

Novak came into Sunday's Group I indoor state Championship meet at Princeton's Jadwin Gym slightly behind in the training department.

Even so, he had plenty enough energy to run a 2:04:03 800-meter race and place third overall.

"He (Novak) hasn't done any speed work yet. I don't know of any runner who can run a 2:04 time without any speed work," said Bordentown head track and field coach Charlie Miller...
