Kitties hate loud noises. Their ears are so sensitive (so much better to hear that mouse behind the fridge) that loud noises hurt their ears, and sudden banging will really mess with their minds.
I suppose if you had a Dust Buster that was quiet enough, the beast might settle down enough to enjoy the experience.
But I think if you ever had to "Hoover" my cat, we would have to discuss the situation over a beer and a pool game before I'd invite you into my apartment.
as the noise of normal portable vacuums ("hoovers") scare the blue fuck out of my cats. They think the vacuum is the harbinger of great evil. They've convinced me that cleaning the floor is a very bad idea, so instead of carpets, now we have a cat-fur floor. Very soft and warm.
My old cat named "workout" (he was rescued from a fitness club) loved it. He was 20 lbs. long black hair and when ever the vacuflo was started up he would come over and lie on his back so we could vacuum him.
His favourite food was black forest ham and deli shrimp. He used to climb on a the chair and bank on the blinds when he wanted out.
I had him for nine years and he got run over by a car. God I can't believe how much I miss him and his quirky personality.
