My realtor helped me clean the house today! Freaking weird.
He called at noon and wanted to show the place at two. I began my usual NO FUCKING WAY routine when he said he was already on his way over to help clean. He also said we'd do the best we could, then he'd pour me a rum and coke and drive me away. Heh. Long story short, no rum was required, we got the place acceptably tidied and we had the impromptu showing. My point: Phil Cormier of ERA Dawson-Bradford is the best realtor in this part of Maine. Seriously, he rocks. No doubt the house won't sell but it's clean for the New Year! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Hi all. What a delightful day it's been :D

4. No, but the bread is!
Seriously, the guy vacuumed, folded clothes and wiped down counters and furniture. He also made two beds!

5. Thanks, dear man!
When I got his call I thought it was going to suck, but it really hasn't. Except for the part where I watched "Total Recall" mit Ahnold Svahtzeneggah. :P Hi billyskank! :hi:

3. send him to my house, please
and good luck with selling yours.

I have an extremely embarrassing story about someone selling a house in my neighborhood that I'll tell you sometime when we meet. Someone started calling me Lucy Ricardo for awhile afterwards just to remind me... but really I was Jayne Austin, at least for about 30 minutes.

7. I am oddly excited about hearing that story!
Laughing. I've shown this house in a bad state a couple of times. Once it was shown while I was at work the night after the Christmas tree fell over in the living room and we hadn't had time to clean up the mess. There was glass everywhere and as you can see, the place didn't sell. :P :hi:

8. It will never sell. I died and went to hell two years ago.
Hell is big and usually dirty and hard to heat. :hi:

Actually I had a vision yesterday morning as I was making my coffee, of me in a snug little kitchen and a house of under 2000 square feet, clean and warm and charming. I do wish it would happen.

However I'd throw in pie and cookies if you bring the meat. Damn, who said that?

21. Oh gawd no, and he's on his third wife.
He seems to love his job, which is what I heard before we hired him. He knows I can be the Wicked Witch of the East and he makes jokes about it. We have a good relationship but hell no, he's kinda ugly.

16. If he's putting that much effort into it,
maybe he has a prospect. Who knows, you might just be on your way to that snug little house.

23. Alas no. It was his boss' client who wanted to view the house
"before they flew out of town at two." :eyes: There was no sale potential here. It's an historic house and people like to look at it. :grr:

25. Realtors cleaning houses
First of all the guy probably doesn't have a life. Second, he my be able to clean a house but does he know how tho sell one. If he is busy in the real estate business he wouldn't have time to clean someone else's house. Third item, he probably knows how to clean but can't fix anything......not really worthy of all the matrimony discussions.....take the rum and coke instead.
