2. But then, he could be gone...or you could be.
And one would be left wishing for what they were tired of...to come back to them. Trust me.

4. Hugs
I'm 62 - male -live alone - happy mostly

Maybe, as you said it's your Hubby?
Don't want to interfere.
Try sky-diving (Joke), join a book club (as I just did, and a beginners Bridge Club)

People are the answer

I'm sure your Hubby is a nice guy.

Go to a coffee shop - meet people
Works for me

Hugs

Mike

7. Bush 1 sky dived at age 84! - 'Bush Sr skydives into 80th b'day!'
Not that I care for his politics but he did it at that age.. on his birthday too!

College Station (Texas): Former president George Bush made two tandem parachute jumps Sunday
to mark his 80th birthday -- landing safely each time, to relief of his wife, Barbara. :eyes:

If he can do it, so can I!!! :P (but I won't! I'm afraid of heights!)

8. I talked to my 88-yr old Dad on Xmas Day
I'm in Canada and he's at home in Ireland.
Jeez he sounded younger than me.

He's in a Nursing Home and they bring around a drink tray at Christmas, I think he got a few extra from the folks who don't drink :)

He said he went out the day before, bought a new shirt, tie, cardigan and trousers and he 'blew them all away' Xmas morning?????????? I guess he meant the ladies.

He had a hard life, but he finishes every phone call with "I'm happy and content"

Hope I can say that when I'm 88

9. qMike, it sounds like you come from good stock.
I'm on the other side of 55 & keep on running into those little surprises of aging. Still, it beats the alternative!

12. I do have good genes I guess
His 2 older brothers died when they were 85 -just didn't wake up one morning. No illness.
His father (my Grandad) died at 93 - same thing no illness.

Me? I gotta wait 26 years to catch up with my old man!

I had pneumonia a few months ago, first time I was ever sick in my life.
Couldn't handle it mentally

Mike
