Poll question: Best #1 pop hit, 1960-1964?

Thankfully, there were so many great #1 hits in the '60s, I decided to break this poll up into two parts.

6. Great record, but it just missed #1.

"Crying" peaked at #2 in 1961.

5. I Feel Fine was way ahead of its time
one of the first deliberate uses of feedback in a rock & roll song, and a hook to die for.

Bit of trivia for you: look up who the songwriters were for Locomotion.

My first love was a Beatles connoisseur, and I'll always have a soft spot for the early ones especially.

13. Actually, the real answer is "Leader of the Pack," by the Shangri-Las.
But only because "Remember (Walking in the Sand)" never made it past #5.

If I had been born twenty-five years earlier... ROWRRR! I am SO in love with Mary Weiss.
