7. Love is giving
If it drains you and even hurts sometimes, it's love.

You cannot buy love, ask for it, push it on someone.
The only thing you can do with love is give it away.

Sucks, eh?

I'm not being negative here - but to love someone regardless of whatever is a gift.

12. What is love, my dear DarkTirade?
Oh, wow, this one brought the tears to my eyes...

Robert Heinlein said:

Love is a condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.

He knew what he was talking about...

And Lao Tzu said:

To love someone deeply gives you strength. Being loved by someone deeply gives you courage.

Would that we all could have such a love as these two did...

13. Yeah, but when Heinlein got on in years his stories all started turning from love to sex sex sex. :P
Still, his early stuff's good. :)

14. Read that story a few days ago

That's still one of my favorite Heinlein quotes.

15. Really close to the Heinlein quote is this:
Love is the wish for all beings to reach their fullest form of self-expression.

19. Love is the pain afterwards, too.
Don't realize how much you love something until it's done. I never expected the pain would be real and physical, right in my chest.

Owwww.
