7. Ictalurids are venomous fish, too...
All of the catfish native to North America are ictalurids, and ictalurids can get huge.

Those big cats have a spine sticking out each side of the head, and there's a venom gland at the base of it. Some ictalurids--blue cats in particular--have venom glands at the base of their dorsal fin spines. No damn way I'm sticking my hand down where venomous fish live.

'Course, I keep loricariids, and those cats have teeth on the leading edges of their dorsal and lateral fins.

You don't want to screw with a catfish. They are all armed.
